Sara Dunning, 102, was a Homemaker

Dunning passed away on November 30.

Sara E. (Righter) Dunning, 102, wife of the late Clinton T. Dunning, passed away on Friday, November 30, 2012, in her Spring City residence.  Born in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Charles and Hallie (Carver) Righter.

Mrs. Dunning was a member of the former Rahns Community Chapel and a homemaker.  Having a passion for flowers, she and five friends formed the Perk Valley Garden Club.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren.  In her spare time she crocheted, having completed her last afghan at the age of 100.    

Mrs. Dunning is survived by one daughter, Ruth C. Hughes, wife of the late John Hughes, of Spring City; one son, Eugene N. Sr.  husband of Dianne Dunning, of Creamery; daughter in law, Diana Dunning, of Douglassville; twelve grandchildren; twenty three great grandchildren; and seven great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two daughters, Hallie Mae Dunning and Doris George; two sons, Charles M. and Edgar C. Dunning; her sister, Mae Van Horn; and one grandson, Edgar “Little Eddie” Dunning.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at 11:00 a.m., with the Rev. James R. Roth officiating.  Interment will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories.  Friends will be received from 10:00-11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.  Condolences may be offered online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
