Starting At $120K A Year: Phoenixville Police Department Hiring New Officers
Phoenixville is expanding its force.
PHOENIXVILLE, PA — The Phoenixville Area Police Department is now hiring new police officers, they announced this week.
The borough currently has a complement of 31 full time officers. It's not clear how many additional officers they are looking to fire.
Starting salary is $120,430.54 with full benefits, a pension plan, and tuition reimbursement.

The borough is seeking officers of all kinds, including bike units, detectives, SWAT members, crisis negotiators, truck enforcement, in-house instructors, and range positions.
Candidates must pass a physical agility test, which will be held at Phoenixville Area High School gymnasium on Feb. 1 or Feb. 7. Those who pass the test will take the written exam on the same date, shortly after the physical test.

Other aspects of the application process including an oral examination, a background investigation, polygraph, a medical examination, and a psychological examination.
Applications must be received by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 16. You can pick up an application at the police department or online here.
