Soon after Jackie's meteoric rise to fame on America's Got Talent, she released a four-song EP titled O Holy Night.
"This is pretty amazing, no?" Gregory asked the 12-year-old from Pine-Richland.
“It’s very amazing … when I first began singing, I loved it. Knowing that I can continue and keep making CDs is just super exciting for me," Jackie answered.
"Is this something you want to keep doing for the rest of your life?"
"Definitely," Jackie answered. "This is something I think will be my ultimate passion forever."
Ever wish for a more normal 12-year-old childhood than what you’re embarking on? Gregory asked.
"Not really. I mean, every once in a while, just because I’m at home and I’m having so much fun," Jackie replied. "Whenever I get back on stage ... all of that goes away and I just love it so much."
Asked about a favorite city as she tours the world, Jackie answered: Tokyo.
"I love Tokyo, Japan. It’s my favorite place to go. And I love the people there; they are so nice. It’s great."
Noting Jackie appears in a new Robert Redford movie, Gregory asked her if she liked acting better than singing.
"No," she said emphatically. "I like acting, but singing is going to be my main thing for a long time."
Locally, the Songs From the Silver Screen CD is on sale at Target and Wal-mart. Target offers an exclusive CD/DVD package for $14; the CD alone is $10. Walmart sells the CD for $11.88.
