Man Found Dead on Irishtown Road; Investigation Ongoing

A 60-year-old man was found in his yard unconscious and not breathing. Emergency personnel described the area as a crime scene.

State Police investigators are asking the public for any information they may have about the death of a 60-year-old man near route 58 just west of Grove City.

Firefighters and rescue crews were called to the 200 block of Irishtown Road just after 3:00 p.m. Sunday.

Mercer County 911 dispatch first reported that a 60-year-old man was found in his yard unconscious and not breathing.
The incident was first described as a cardiac arrest, but when emergency personnel arrived on the scene, they reported that the man was deceased, and described the area as a crime scene.

They requested that the State Police be dispatched to the scene as soon as possible.

The victim has been identified as Michael Anthony Johns Sr., of Irishtown Road. Investigators have not said if they know what caused the death of Johns.

Police say they want to hear from anyone who may have seen anyone who may have seen anything, or seen anyone along Irishtown Road near the intersection of Route 58 between Saturday evening and Sunday morning.
