Services Set For Plum Borough Manager Killed In Explosion

PLUM, PA — A memorial service will occur Wednesday for borough manager Michael Thomas, 57, who was among the six people killed in the Aug. 12 Rustic Ridge explosion.

The family has invited the community to the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at St. Raphael's Church of St. Jude Parish celebrated by the Rev. Kevin Poecking. A private entombment will follow.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Plum Rotary, Oakland Catholic Soccer, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital are strongly encouraged.

Previously announced were the joint funeral arrangements for the father and son who also perished in the blast.

Services for the owners of the home that exploded, Heather and Paul Oravitz, will be private.

A celebration of the life of the sixth victim, Kevin Sebunia, was held Sunday at Larry Mills Park.
