Well-Known Pittsburgh Chef Dies
The executive chef at a popular Pittsburgh restaurant has died.
OAKMONT, PA — Brian Leri, the executive chef at Hoffstot's Cafe Monaco in Oakmont for more than two decades, died Monday.
Leri's death was announced on the popular restaurant's Facebook page.
"Brian brought not only innovation to our menu but also an unmistakable warmth and energy to our kitchen and dining room. His infectious personality made every guest feel like family, and his commitment to excellence elevated every dining experience," the post stated.

"Beyond his culinary genius, Brian was a man of extraordinary heart. He was deeply committed to giving back, whether through our breast cancer fundraisers, supporting Toys for Tots, or lending his time and expertise to community initiatives. He had a gift for bringing people together, a trait that made him not just a chef but a true leader and friend."
Leri, 51, of Harrison, is survived by his wife, Megan.
