4 Arrested After Stolen Car Flees Police, Crashes In Conshohocken: PD

A drone, K-9 units, and water rescue boats were dispatched into the night to help with the search.

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Six people fled from police in a stolen car before crashing it in Conshohocken on Sunday night and then continuing the chase on foot, authorities said. Four were captured after a lengthy search.

The incident occurred on July 13 at around 9:43 p.m.

Police were monitoring their automated license plate reader when they detected the stolen vehicle on West Elm Street.

When officers attempted to stop the vehicle it fled before crashing into a tree on the 200 block of Washington Street, police said.

All six occupants of the vehicle then fled on foot, police said. Four were immediately arrested nearby.

K-9 units, a drone, and fire department water rescue boats were dispatched to assist in the search for the other two suspects. A thorough search throughout the evening did not result in their capture.

Authorities said they are no longer believed to be in the immediate area, but the search is still ongoing.

Police only confirmed the identities of one of the four people arrested at the crash site: Brielle Joan Womack, 19, of Narberth. She was charged with receiving stolen property, evading arrest, and related charges.

She was booked at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. A preliminary hearing is forthcoming.
