"ALDI stores are designed for simplicity and efficiency," reads a company news release. "A typical store is approximately 12,000 square feet of retail space, making ALDI stores much easier to navigate than traditional grocery stores."

The release says that ALDI locations also feature open ceilings and natural lighting, and that they are built using environmentally friendly materials.

The company says it prides itself on being able to beat other grocery stores on price, and that it has held the esteemed title of 'Value Leader' among nationwide supermarkets for the past 10 years.

ALDI runs more than 2,000 retail locations in 37 states and is set to become the third largest U.S. grocery retailer by store count by the end of 2022, according to the company.

According to its website, ALDI currently has a total of seven retail locations in Montgomery County, not including the soon-to-open Conshohocken store. Those other stores are located in Lansdale, Limerick, Blue Bell, Norristown, Souderton, North Wales and King of Prussia.
