Baby Delivered Amidst Valentines Day Traffic In Montco: Report

Stuck in rush hour traffic on Valentine's Day morning, a local woman reportedly gave birth on the shoulder of the highway.

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, PA — Valentine's Day may be an opportunistic consumerist holiday to some, but for at least one Montgomery County family, it will be hard not to consider it a time of holiday magic.

Stuck in rush hour traffic on Valentine's Day morning, a local woman reportedly gave birth on the shoulder of the highway.

The incident occurred on I-476 in West Conshohocken just after 8 a.m., according to a story from NBC10, who interviewed the officers involved.

The father of the baby called 911, and the dispatcher reportedly gave him instructions on how to deliver the baby as the parents awaited first responders.

Things apparently went pretty well from there, because by the time two West Conshohocken patrolmen arrived, the baby was nearly out, according to the report.
