CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Beloved cheesesteak joint and Philly area icon Pop's Steaks is nearing the opening of its new restaurant in Conshohocken.
Pop's, which also runs a popular pizzeria in Glen Mills in Delaware County, will come to the empty shop on the corner of E. 1st Avenue and Fayette Street.
The shop has been updated in rebranded in recent weeks, since the announcement came in early July that they had acquired the Conshy storefront.

Pop's has not yet given a specific opening date, but progress to the exterior at least is clearly visible. A new mural features the Pop's Steaks Eagles-green logo, with the Conshohocken skyline below.
When they made their initial announcement in July, they said they were targeting an opening date this fall.

"We are having a baby if you didn’t know," the eatery shared last week.
The 1st and Fayette location has been home to a Donut Shop and Jimmy John's in recent years before its acquisition by Pop's.
Pop's is known as a pizzeria but cheesesteaks, the focus of the Conshy eatery, have long been one of their more popular dishes.
Details on a menu and more will be provided as they become available.
