CRC Continues Winning Streak At Head of the Schuylkill:
Wins Two Golds & One Bronze In Region's Largest Regatta

PHILADELPHIA, PA – October 28 – Conshohocken Rowing Center (CRC) raced to two gold medals and a bronze medal at The Head of The Schuylkill Regatta, one of the nation’s largest regattas, welcoming 282 teams and 2,326 entries to the two-day event founded in 1970.
Rowan Arendt took first place in the Jim Barker Men’s High School Junior Varsity Single, besting a field of 40 entries in a gold medal performance by the 15-year-old sophomore.
The winning streak continued for the Women’s quad of Graciela Preetam, Egypt Strickland, Molly Murphy, and Piper Konz, earning gold in the Women's High School Junior Varsity Quad. They have medaled together in each of their four races this season. The four previously took home gold in their team’s debut in the Women’s U17 quad at King’s Head Regatta, silver in Women’s Coxed Quad at Navy Day Regatta, and medaled for fastest U17 in the Women’s Coxed Quad at Head of the Charles.

The team concluded the day by winning bronze in the Mixed Championship Quad with teammates Egypt Strickland, Rainer Arendt, Piper Konz, and John Walish.

The Conshohocken Rowing Center Junior Competitive Race Team is comprised of 12 high school rowers from across the region who were selected for their dedication, achievement, and performance on and off the water. The team is based in Conshohocken under the leadership of CRC executive director Craig Hoffman, head coach Aaron Preetam, and coaches Bill McNabb and Dylan Green who collectively bring more than 100 years of rowing expertise and mentorship to the program.
