CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – April 6 – Conshohocken Rowing Center (CRC) kicked off their spring season at the Steve Neczypor Memorial Regatta, with three boats capturing gold medals and a fourth capturing a silver medal, as they continued their success from the fall in the team’s inaugural year.

CRC’s Women’s Varsity Quad of Graciela Preetam, Beatrix Lay, Egypt Strickland, and Piper Konz won gold, continuing CRC’s streak of a podium finish in all of the women’s quad events since the team’s debut. The quad won both their heat and the finals. Lay went on to win her second gold of the day, finishing first in the Women’s Varsity Single and recording the event’s fastest overall time in both the preliminary heats and the finals. In her CRC team debut, Emiko Kubach captured gold in the Women’s 2nd Varsity Single, besting the second place finisher by a commanding margin.

CRC’s Men’s Varsity Quad of Rowan Arendt, Rainer Arendt, John Hiester, and John Walish also delivered a podium performance, winning silver in their event final and recording the second overall fastest time of their event’s qualifying heats.
