CONSHOHOCKEN, PA – February 2 – Conshohocken Rowing Center (CRC) pulled to gold in the top men’s categories in HOCR 4702, with John Hiester and Rowan Arendt capturing first place in the Men’s U19 and U17 respectively. HOCR 4702 is a virtual event hosted by Head of the Charles as a fundraiser for their DEI partnerships, grants and programming. The erg distance was set to 4,702 meters to match the length of the Charles River course during the fall Head of the Charles Regatta. More than 2,400 rowers competed in the competition, with 135 entered in Men’s U19 and 118 in Men’s U17.
Hiester and Arendt had rowed together as a Men’s Youth Double in the 2024 Head of the Charles Regatta this fall, having captured first place the week before in the Men’s HS Varsity Double at the Navy Day Regatta.
The Conshohocken Rowing Center Junior Competitive Race Team is comprised of 11 high school rowers from across the region who were selected for their dedication, achievement, and performance on and off the water.
