Janiczek then drove his Mercedes G Wagon, a luxury vehicle retailing at around $148,000, from the hotel to Fountain Road and then left onto Walton Road, officials said.
Once on Walton, Janiczek swerved into oncoming traffic to slam head-on into a Plymouth Township patrol car, the district attorney's office said.

"Put me in the car or I will kill you," Janiczek told officers, according to the criminal complaint.
Two officers were injured. The officer who Janiczek repeatedly ran over was taken to the ICU, where he underwent emergency surgery. The second officer, injured during the head-on collision, was also treated at the hospital.
Both are in stable condition, authorities said.
What is known about Dalton Lee Janiczek
Janiczek's motivations for the attack remain unclear, and authorities have not publicly speculated on the potential cause.
Police had attempted to pull him over for erratic driving just hours before on Skippack Pike in Whitpain Township. However, he sped over the median of the road to escape, police said.
When the Plymouth officer tracked him to the Double Tree, he turned violent, according to the DA.
His arrest record shows numerous driving-related charges from this summer, including careless driving, speeding, passing where prohibited, and driving an unregistered vehicle, court documents show.
Before attending Loyola Marymount, he graduated from La Salle College High School in Springfield Township.
Court dates
Janiczek was booked without bail at Montgomery County Correctional Facility. He's charged with attempted murder of a law enforcement officer, aggravated assault, and related counts.
A preliminary hearing is set for Nov. 4.
