Drop Off those Tired Tires
The county is hosting a tire collection event Saturday at Methacton High School.

If you’ve got punctured Pirellis, messed-up Michelins or bald Blizzaks taking up space at your house, dump them at Methacton High School this weekend.
Legally … dump them, legally at the high school.
Montgomery County is hosting a tire collection event for county residents Saturday, July 27 at Methacton High School from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The event is meant to help dissuade illegal dumping and to prevent tires from being breeding grounds for insects — especially when they’re filled with water.
The event is free and each resident may drop off four tires.

Rims are accepted, but no off-road tires … and no businesses.
The tires will be shredded and re-purposed by a local business into road surface material, sound barrier wall material, and playground material.
