Former Plymouth Township Police Chief Carmen Pettine Passes Away
Carmen Pettine served on the Plymouth Township Police Department for 34 years. The last eight of those were spent as the department's chief.

PLYMOUTH TOWNSHIP, PA — Former Plymouth Township Police Chief Carmen Pettine has passed away.
The announcement was made on Friday afternoon by current Plymouth Police Chief John Myrsiades.
"Chief Pettine spent his entire life serving the citizens of this community and his country," Myrsiades said in statement posted to social media. "The men and women of the Plymouth Township Police Department are grateful for his service and leadership. We stand ready to support Chief Pettine's family during this difficult time."

No cause of death was provided.
Pettine worked for the Plymouth Township Police Department for 34 years, with the last eight of those years spent as police chief.

After he retired from Plymouth, Pettine served as the police chief in Haverford Township, Delaware County.
Pettine was also a U.S. Air Force veteran and had spent time working with the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office.
According to the Plymouth Township Police Department website, Pettine served as chief from September 2001 to July 2008.
