Friends of Library present honorarium
The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library in Lafayette Hill presented a check to the library in honor of the Book Sale Volunteers
The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library presented a $500 check for the William Jeanes Memorial Library and Nicholas and Athena Karabots Center for Learning in October 2023 in honor of the Fall book sale volunteers.
The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library (FWJML) is an all-volunteer organization separate from the library.
The Friends group was established in 1950.

Since that time the organization has been a vital force in supplementing Library funding. Donations received through the annual membership drive and proceeds generated by used book sales have enabled the Friends to support Library services in many ways. The FWJML have augmented the purchase of new technology, books, and other media, sponsored adult and children’s programs, provided funding for purchase of a variety of annual passes to local cultural institutions, contributed as a major donor to the recent building renovation and expansion, and responded to special funding requests as they continue to arise.

The Friends Board of Directors holds its public meetings the second Thursday of the month at 7:00 p.m., September through June, and convenes its Annual Meeting in March.
The Friends of the Library group is a 501 (c) (3) Charitable Organization.
