Friends present Annual Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund Check

The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library presented their Annual Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund check at the Annual Meeting

The Friends of the William Jeanes Memorial Library (FWJML) presented the Annual Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund check in the amount of $2,000 to Library Director Lisa Clancy, MSLS at the Annual Meeting of the Friends Board on Thursday, March 14, 2024.

The FWJML established the Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund in 2012, in honor of their former long-time Friends board member, who passed away in February of 2012.

Nancy was an active and passionate member of the Friends, serving as Membership Chair and maintaining the membership records for many years. In recognition of Nancy’s passion for writing, the Friends committed to an annual contribution to this fund.

Monies from the Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund are used for programming to encourage creative writing among children, teens, and adults!

Members of the public are welcome to make contributions to the Nancy Corson Creative Writing Fund which is managed by the library – make checks payable to the library.
