‘Gateway’ Goes Door-to-Door Without Paperwork, police Say
According to police, the company 'Gateway Energy' is not registered with the township.

Whitemarsh Police said they recently encountered five people who were representing the company “Gateway Energy;” two of them were cited for allegedly soliciting without a permit.
Police said they cited a 24-year-old man from Longmeadow, Mass.; and a 37-year-old man from the 2100 block of Orthodox Street, Philadelphia, after both were seen soliciting business for Gateway Energy from residents in the 4000 block of North Warner Road on June 11 shortly before 6 p.m.
A resident living on the street called police.

According to police, Gateway Energy does not have a soliciting permit on file with the township.
A day later, at about 8 p.m., police responded to the 200 block of Ash Lane in Lafayette Hill for a similar situation. There, police made contact with a 23-year-old man from East Orange, N.J. who was soliciting on behalf of Gateway Energy. The man was told to stop, and he was told that the other two woman who were soliciting for the same company in the area were to stop soliciting as well, or they would all be cited.
