What does this community leader do?
As the Chief Executive Officer of Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Kim is the leader of the largest girl-serving organization in Pennsylvania. Kim’s commitment to GSEP for the last 12 years has helped build a team that is focused on sustainably growing membership to ensure that Girl Scouts continues to be a girl-led, all-girl organization for years to come.
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Kim is passionate about providing opportunities for Eastern Pennsylvania’s young women and girls, advocating for girls to have a seat at the table and works tirelessly to empower them to amplify their voices for causes they believe in. Under Kim’s leadership, tens of thousands of Girl Scouts in GSEP’s landscape have been exposed to STEM learning and developed entrepreneurial business skills by selling over four million packages of cookies each year, all while philanthropically reinvesting in Girl Scout programs, camps and trainings.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
As a leader at Girl Scouts of Eastern Pennsylvania, Kim is committed to creating a culture of service, learning, and growth across GSEP’s nine-county footprint. Together with the Board, staff, and volunteers, GSEP has become one of the top ten largest Girl Scout councils in the country. Kim’s commitment has contributed to her being a trusted and well-respected leader in Eastern Pennsylvania.
