Heart Disease Awareness Championed By Montco Woman: Report

PLYMOUTH MEETING, PA — A local woman is raising awareness about heart health, herself having gone through heart issues that went undiagnosed for years and eventually led to open heart surgery.
Hope Nagy, a health and fitness instructor from Plymouth Meeting, Montgomery County, has made it a goal to raise awareness of heart heath, especially for woman, who reportedly are twice as likely to be diagnosed with mental illness compared to men after complaining of heart symptoms.
Nagy was recently interviewed by CBS Philly about her drive to make women aware of heart health, and her participation in The Philly Heart Walk, which is designed to raise awareness about heart disease, considered to be the leading cause of death in the United States today.
