A medical helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing on a Whitemarsh Township yard Monday evening.
WHITEMARSH TOWNSHIP, PA — A medical helicopter was forced to make an emergency landing in a Whitemarsh Township residential area Monday evening, according to sources.
The situation unfolded around 7:45 p.m. That's when a PennSTAR medical helicopter operated by Metro Aviation made an emergency landing at a residential property in Whitemarsh Township, a Penn Medicine spokesperson told NBC10.
The helicopter landed near Cannon Hill Road and Musket Road, Action News reported. The helicopter was traveling from Philadelphia to Wings Field, the outlet said.
