Joshua Road In Whitemarsh To Close Aug. 2 for Road Improvements

WHITEMARSH, PA — The township is alerting motorists that Joshua Road between Flourtown Road and Stenton Avenue is planning to close beginning Aug. 2 for roadway widening and drainage improvements.

The road closure, announced yesterday by the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation, is scheduled to be in effect through Sept. 6.

Drivers will be detoured along Flourtown Road and Stenton Avenue during the time of the Joshua Road closure.

Access for those who live locally will be maintained up to the construction zone, according to PennDOT.

PennDOT stated that Whitemarsh Township will be completing the roadway improvement project under a state highway occupancy permit.
