Nyla Thomas-Watkins Crowned ‘Miss PW’

Fifteen girls showcased casual and evening wear, interviews and talent at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

 

Nyla Thomas-Watkins took home the "Miss PW" Crown on Jan. 10 at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.

Thomas-Watkins, along with 14 other female students, competed against each other in casual and evening wear, as well as an on-stage interview and a 90-second talent performance.

Jocelyn Gadd was First Runner-Up and won Top Evening Wear and Best Talent. Kate Sellers was Second Runner-Up. Sherrell Gray was Third Runner-up. Lauren Babillis won Fourth Runner-Up.

Jessica Rhoads was voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow contestants. Meaghan Iannarrelli won the People’s Choice Award by earning the most votes from the audience.

Other participants included Amanda Birchard, Allyssa Conner, Amelia Ellinger, Patty Jones and Catherine Limbert.

Talent performances included color guard, dancing, playing piano, saxophone and trumpet, and singing.

Miss Delaware USA 2008 Vincenza Carrieri-Russo and PW Indoor Guard Instructor Bobbey Biddle were co-hosts of the event.

Miss PW 2012 Olivia Flocco, who is now a senior at Plymouth Whitemarsh, was also on hand for the festivities.
