PW Hosts Major League Ultimate Action
Players from Lansdale, Glenside, Norristown get their Frisbee on.

It's just a simple, plastic disc, but don't tell that to the hundreds of local players that take the game quite seriously. Sunday's match-up in Plymouth Whitemarsh was proof positive that something as basic as a Frisbee can get the fans moving.
According to the Times Herald, "Ultimate" as it is known to fans "is something of a hybrid between soccer and football, only instead of a ball, flying plastic is used." Sunday, a match-up between Philadelphia Spinners and the New York Rumble was hosted at Plymouth Whitemarsh High School.
In the day's game, Norristown resident Jack Casey, Lansdale natives Mike and David Baer and Jonah Wisch from Glenside all played, according to the Herald. The team promoted its event prior to the match-up at area locations such as the King of Prussia Mall and Plymouth Meeting Mall.
