Reckless ATV Rider Identified, Arrest Warrant Issued In Montco: Cops
The incident occurred in late October and spanned both Plymouth and East Norriton Townships in Montgomery County.

EAST NORRITON TOWNSHIP, PA — Police in this Montgomery County community say they have identified one of the reckless ATV riders who were caught on video camera late last month trying to box in the driver of an SUV along a busy thoroughfare.
The East Norriton Township Police Department said an investigation kicked off after video surfaced in late October of several all-terrain vehicle operators driving carelessly along Germantown Pike, appearing to put other drivers in danger.
The ATVs passed through neighboring Plymouth Township and on into bordering East Norriton, where one rider was seen trying to reach out and grab the door handle of a white SUV while other ATV riders were trying to box the vehicle in.

East Norriton investigators said they "promptly commenced an investigation," and within several days one of the ATV operators was identified and an arrest warrant was issued.
The name of the suspect was not publicly released, presumably because he or she had not yet been officially charged or brought before a local judge for arraignment.
"The investigation is continuing and efforts are being made to identify and arrest the remaining perpetrators," the East Norriton Township Police Department stated in a recent Facebook post. "The East Norriton Police Department is committed to ensuring that our residents, visitors and businesses are safe when they travel the roads within our Township."
It was not immediately clear the extent to which the neighboring Plymouth Township Police Department was involved, but officials there may be working with East Norriton investigators given that the incident crossed municipal borders.
"The Plymouth Township Police Department takes these incidents seriously and is currently working an active investigation, in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies," Plymouth Township Police stated in a previous Facebook post. "We are requesting the assistance of the public in identifying the operator of the white SUV, any of the operators of the involved ATV’s, along with the identity of the person who recorded the video."
The incident happened on Oct. 29.
The video showed the ATV riders driving recklessly along Germantown Pike through Plymouth Township before trying to box in the SUV driver just as the vehicles passed over Old Arch Road and into East Norriton.
Old Arch Road is the dividing line between the two municipalities.
The video showed the SUV driver successfully evading the ATV riders just after crossing into East Norriton and pulling into a nearby shopping center while the ATV riders then continued on down westbound Germantown Pike.
