Skippack Pike To Be Shut Down In Whitemarsh

Major work will close one of the area's busier roadways, PennDOT said. Delays should be expected.

WHITEMARSH, PA — Pipeline inspection and repair will lead to road closures in Whitemarsh Township beginning Thursday.

The work will take place on Route 73 (Skippack Pike) between Butler Pike and Sheaff Lane. PennDOT estimates the work will be complete by about Sept. 14.

Most vehicles will be detoured away from the area to Butler Pike, Morris Road, and Lafayette Avenue. Large trucks will be sent to U.S. 202, Route 63, and Route 309.
