Two Conshy Burglaries Could Be Related, Police Say

Both houses had their back doors forced open, police said.

Whitemarsh Police said two recent burglaries in the Conshohocken section of the township appear to be related.

According to police, someone forced himself or herself into a home in the 300 block of East 13th Avenue on Tuesday, Jan. 7 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. One of the homeowners said that when she returned home from work, she noticed the front door was unlocked and that the back door was forced open.

The victim also said that her jewelry boxes were open and jewelry was strewn across the top of her dresser, police said.

Two days later, police responded to a burglary call in the 300 block of East North Lane -- which is adjacent to the property in the Jan. 7 burglary.

According to police, a real estate agent was doing a walk through at about 4:45 p.m. and noticed that the back door was kicked in. On the west side of the house, the screen window was taken out and there were pry marks on the outside of the window; the back kitchen window was also cracked, police said. The inside of the house appeared to be in order, though.
