422 East To Be Closed Monday Night

U.S. 422 eastbound will be closed overnight into Tuesday for a brief stretch for construction.

The closure will take place from the split with Benjamin Franklin Highway in Douglass Township to Pottstown Pike in North Coventry.

It will occur from 9 p.m. Monday to 5 a.m. Tuesday.

Officials are working on barrier adjustemet and improvements on a 1.2 mile stretch of the road, PennDOT said.

Detours will be set up for approaching motorists, who should plan for additional travel times.
