Copper Thieves Repeatedly Strike Homes Owned by Boyertown Man, Police Say
Copper piping was stolen from two homes on the 100 block of Main Street in Trappe. Both homes are owned by a Boyertown man.

Two homes on the 100 block of Main Street in Trappe Borough were broken into a total of three times in the month of April, with copper piping being the target, according to the Pennsylvania State Police.
As previously reported on Patch, individuals allegedly tried unsuccessfully to break into 133 West Main Street between April 11-13, but they did gain entrance to 135 West Main Street, both of which were owned by a Boyertown man.
No items were reported stolen at the time, according to the police.

Between 2 p.m. on April 19 and 11 p.m. on April 28, individuals gained entrance to one of the homes by breaking out a window on the rear door, police said. They then allegedly broke into a second house and cut copper piping from the water heater and boiler in the basement of the property.
These incidents are under investigation.
