Five Things You Need To Know Today

Several big events are planned for Pottstown.

A variety of events are headed for Pottstown. Mark your calendars for the following activities in and around town: 

• The -- a seven-day, 113-mile guided paddle from Schuylkill Haven to Philadelphia -- will arrive in Pottstown on June 8. So far, roughly 230 folks, 100 kayaks and canoes are expected to participate in the event. To learn more, visit schuylkillriver.org.

• The Pottstown Library, 500 E High Street, will hold a Back Door Used Book Sale from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 10.

• Plans are underway for Pottstown Open Doors II. The Sept. 10th event will include free food, school supplies, trolley rides, a military display, moon bounce and other activities. Check back at Pottstown Patch for updates and details.
