Five Things You Need To Know Today

• Slice Hair Studio -- a new eco conscious salon that opened four weeks ago in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia -- will be at the 2nd Street Festival Sunday to provide free haircuts for folks who donate their hair to Locks of Love. • The Montgomery Bar Association's Women in the Law Committee, in conjunction with Montgomery County Office of Children and Youth, will host a school supply drive to benefit children in foster care in Montgomery County. • National Night Out will be held at 500 Chestnut St., Pottstown, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Aug. 2. The event promotes taking a stand against drugs and crime. Food and refreshments will be provided.
