Flood Warning, Tornado Watch in Effect Today

The National Weather Service has declared a flood warning until 6:30 p.m. and a tornado watch until 10 p.m. on Monday in Montgomery County.

The National Weather Service has declared a flood warning for Montgomery County until 6:30 p.m. on Monday.

According to the release from the National Weather Service, the Perkiomen Creek at Schwenksville had reached a level of 7.2 feet and was still rising from a storm Monday morning. "The east branch could rise another foot or so before cresting later today," according to the release.

Flash flooding is not expected.

A tornado watch has also been declared for Montgomery County until 10 p.m. on Monday by the National Weather Service.

Be safe in hazardous weather—never drive through a flooded roadway or deep puddle, as the water may be deeper than it appears and it takes very little to sweep a car away. Call 911 and stay clear from the area if you spot any downed power lines.
