Heads-Up For Pottstown - KOP Commuters
Due to road construction, motorists will be detoured over Route 29, Route 100 and Kutztown Road.

KING OF PRUSSIA - Palm Hill Road in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County will be closed July 18 and detoured between Route 29 and Leshers Mill Road in Upper Hanover Township, Montgomery County.
The road will remained closed for four months for rehabilitation of a structurally deficient bridge over the Perkiomen Creek, the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said today.
During the closure, motorists will be detoured over Route 29, Route 100 and Kutztown Road. Local access will be maintained up to the bridge.

Crews next week will begin work to rebuild and strengthen stone masonry walls that support the roadway on the bridge. The three-span, stone-arch structure is 68 feet long, 21 feet wide and carries an average of 710 vehicles a day. It was built in 1898, PennDOT says.
Construction is expected to be completed in late November.

The project is part of PennDOT’s $2,077,371 contract to repair and improve deteriorating state bridges in Bucks, Chester, Delaware and Montgomery counties. J.D. Eckman, Inc. of Atglen, Chester County. is the general contractor.
