How Did MCCC Score on the White House College Scorecard?
The White House College Scorecard looked at borrowing, graduation rates, and loan default rates. How did MCCC do?

After President Obama's State of the Union Address in February, the White House has released the College Scorecard.
According to the WhiteHouse.gov website, "College Scorecards in the U.S. Department of Education’s College Affordability and Transparency Center make it easier for you to search for a college that is a good fit for you."

Montgomery County Community College
According to the White House scorecard, in-state students pay a net price of $7,112 a year to attend MCCC, with campuses in Blue Bell and Pottstown. This is down 4.6 percent from the 2007 to 2009 costs and considered "low" on the scorecard's scale.

Families typically borrow an average of $8,563 for the undergraduate study at MCCC, with student loan payments of approximately $98.54 a month over 10 years.
However, 13.3 percent of borrowers who graduate from MCCC default on their Federal student loans, just .1 percent under the national average.
According to the scorecard, 11.6 percent of students graduated within 150 percent of the expected time frame, and 25.8 percent transferred to another institution.
