Major Bridge Across Schuylkill River To Be Rebuilt In Pottstown

The crucial connector between Montgomery and Chester counties has been shuttered since 2010 due to structural deficiencies.

POTTSTOWN, PA — Groundbreaking will be held Tuesday a reconstruction project to improve the Keim Street Bridge in Pottstown, officials announced.

The project will formally begin with a ceremony at 1 p.m. Monday near 1575 Industrial Highway.

The 800-foot long bridge was built in 1935 and connects Pottstown with North Coventry Township in Chester County on the other side of the Schuylkill River.
