Montco Cheesesteak Joint Named 'Best Of Philly'
You don't need to be on South or Passayunk to make a game-changing cheesesteak.

POTTSTOWN, PA — While south Philadelphia pioneered the cheesesteak and is home to some of the world's most famous joints, you don't need to be on South Street or Passayunk Avenue to make a game-changing cheesesteak.
Montgomery County's own Nicky's and Ant's, a Pottstown-based eatery, took home Philadelphia Magazine's top honors for the region's best cheesesteak in their annual, comprehensive "Best of Philly" awards.
The establishment owned by Nick Moccia and Anthony Billeta thrived for a time as a food truck at Gilbertsville's Sunset Hill Brewing before moving to its current home in the High Street Terminal in Pottstown.

"The sandwiches are massive — the kind where the meat that falls out of the side is enough to fill a second sandwich," Philly mag writes. "The steak is rough-chopped, gooey with melted Cooper Sharp; the bread is ridiculously good; and together it’s worthy of this cheesesteak-obsessed city."
It's not the only Pottstown-area cheesesteak joint to turn heads in recent months, either. Gazzo's Steaks, also originally based out of a food truck, has drawn fans for miles around and routinely sells out.
