PennDOT Relocates Pottstown Photo License Center

The Photo Driver's License Center in Pottstown will close Friday and reopen Tuesday six blocks away, where there is more parking.

POTTSTOWN, PA — The Photo Driver's Licence Center in Pottstown is moving down the street by next week, so don't think you are lost if it's no longer in the 900 block of E. High Street.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that the PennDOT Photo License Center at 978 E. High St. in Pottstown will relocate to 377 E. High St. by Tuesday.

The last day of operation at the 978 E. High St. location will be Saturday, Dec. 12. The center will be closed on Monday, Dec. 14.

Then, on Dec. 15, the new 377 E. High St. site will reopen for photo services. The new location has more parking and better access for customers, said PennDOT.

Hours of operation for the new location will remain the same: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:15 p.m. and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., for photo services.

The Pottstown Photo License Center offers photo services only. Customers in need of a photo must have a current camera card to obtain photo services, PennDOT said.

Driver and vehicle online services are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week and include driver's license, photo ID and vehicle registration renewals; driver-history services; changes of address; driver license and vehicle registration restoration letters; ability to pay driver license or vehicle insurance restoration fee; driver license and photo ID duplicates; and driver exam scheduling. There are no additional fees for using online services, said PennDOT.
