• Applebee's Flapjack Fundraiser Breakfast will be held 8 to 10 a.m. July 30. The event -- at Applebee's Neighborhood Grill & Bar, 833 North State Street in Pottstown -- will raise money for the Owen J Roberts High School FIRST Robotics Team #3123. Cost is $7 per adult and $4.50 for children under 6.

• Roar For a Cure Poker Run will be held Aug. 6. The ride, sponsored by Relay For Life of Pottstown, starts at Sportsters, 1701 Pottstown Pike in Pottstown. Registration is from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. The ride fee is $35 for the rider and $25 for a passenger. Pre-register by Aug. 1 and get a $5 discount. The ride will stop in Boyertown, Limerick and Phoenixville before ending in King of Prussia with food, a motorcycle show, prizes, 50/50 raffle and live bands. • Montgomery County Community College West Campus Gallery, 101 College Dr., Pottstown, invites artists and photographers to submit original work to the "Scenes of the Schuylkill River Heritage Area" juried art show and competition. Submission deadline is Aug. 2. Submissions must depict a scene from the Schuylkill, Berks, Montgomery, Chester and Philadelphia - Heritage areas and should show the unique nature of the region.
