Traffic Stoppages, Lane Closures Planned On Route 422 This Week

Delays should be expected, authorities said.

LOWER POTTSGROVE, PA — An $83.6 million project to reconstruction portions of Route 422 will continue through the end of this week, leading to lane closures on multiple roads.

The project focuses on a 2.1 mile stretch of roadway and bridges between Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road in Lower Pottsgrove Township.

  • On Thursday, May 2, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. the following morning, a lane will be closed on westbound 422 between Route 724 and Route 100
  • On Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., a lane will be closed periodically on eastbound 422 between Keim Street and Evergreen Road
  • On Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3, from 5 a.m. to 2 p.m., westbound 422 will be closed from Evergreen Road to Armand Hammer Boulevard
  • On Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. a lane will be limited with flagging on Sanatoga Road between Linfield Road and High Street for bridge construction
  • On Thursday May 2 and Friday May 3, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., there will be intermittent 15 minute traffic stoppages on 422 between Evergreen Road and Armand Hammer Boulevard

The work will improve shoulder widths, vertical clearance under bridge, and lane alignments, making for a safer roadway, PennDOT said.
