2 Robbery Incidents Under Investigation In Radnor

Radnor Police said an attempted robbery occurred in a Chase Bank parking lot. The next day, three people did a smash and grab at T.J. Maxx.

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, PA — Radnor Township Police are investigating two robbery incidents that occurred last week.

The first happened on Tuesday at about 10:17 a.m. in the parking lot of the Chase Bank, located at 795 E. Lancaster Ave. in Villanova.

Police said the victim was in her car when a man opened the door to the vehicle and tried to steal her purse.

He was unsuccessful and fled the area in a white, hatchback, type vehicle, police said.

Authorities described the suspect as a black man with a thin build, standing about 5 feet 10 inches tall, who was wearing a blue sweatshirt.

Then the next day, on Sept. 17, a robbery occurred at the T.J. Maxx store, 550 E. Lancaster Ave. in Saint Davids.

At about 9:30 p.m. that day, three black men, all 18 to 23 years and wearing black clothes and face masks, came into the store.

Police said the three went directly to the glass case containing high-end bags.

They then smashed the glass case, took several bags, and fled the store, police said.
