RADNOR, PA — Princeton is a great place to be when the weather warms up — and it doesn't have to cost much to have fun.

Here are five low-cost outings around Radnor and the rest of Delaware County where you can take the family or go with friends.

Youth Trout Derby 2022 — The Chester Valley Sportsman Association is sponsoring its 25th annual Youth Trout Derby at Darby Creek at Saw Mill Park, 666 Earles Lane, in Newtown Square, next weekend. The event is free and entrants just need to sign up for one of the sessions on April 23 or 24. The contestants are kids, but an adult must register with the child. Help Clean Up Darby Creek — Speaking of Darby Creek, why not get a group together and make it an occasion to help clean up Darby Creek together? Next Saturday is the day to come out to Skunk Hollow, 600 Darby Paoli Road, Villanova, and pitch in. Register and find information here to help on April 23, 9 a.m. to noon.

Flea Market And Craft Fair — Outdoor craft fairs and flea markets are coming back to life and there's one coming up May 14 in Swarthmore, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This flea market is in Ridley Township, but watch for others.

Cars Shows, Cruises All Summer Long! — Car shows are going on all over Pennsylvania, and they are often free to spectators. Follow listings for local or statewide events here or at the helpful Car Cruise Finder website. Look at the posts to see if there's a cost for spectators; fees listed are usually for those entering a car in the show or for vendors. The Camaro Nationals car show will be held in nearby Morgantown July 14-16.
