I am writing this letter to voice my strong support for Valentine ‘Jim’ Link and his running mates for the Radnor School Board. I encourage you to vote on Tuesday, November 5th for this group. Radnor School District is our Township’s largest asset and tax bill, and requires responsible leaders with fiscally responsible solutions.
I have known Jim Link for three years, and am proud to call him my friend and neighbor. Jim’s knowledge, enthusiasm and support of the Radnor Township School System is impressive. Jim is always approachable, intelligent, focused, kind and honest. Jim Link is exactly the person Radnor needs to steer our school system in the right direction.

Jim and his wife Kathy have three daughters who have been educated in the Radnor School District. They have volunteered regularly in the schools with Jim recently completing two years as the RHS PTSA Treasurer. They value public education, but like me, they expect value in their schools and transparency in their School Board.
I recently became privy to the surpluses that the school district has amassed on the backs of Radnor taxpayers in the past 5 years and was caught off guard. It makes me angry that others talk about more revenue when the Township is running a surplus. Let’s understand the budget, where the funds are used and look at the real revenue required to sustain such.

Jim Link, Martin Heldring, Dave Falcone and Susan Michaelson are clearly equipped to do just that – respect a responsible budget that considers all of the needs of School District. This group is prepared to work with Superintendent Kelly to bring to the District what we parents and taxpayers deserve - reasoned, transparent, data-driven decision-making to ensure our children are highly educated and prepared for their future. I know Jim will use his experience from years of advising state and local governments, like our School District, to build a documented strategic plan that helps create a transparent financial game plan, a strategy for maintaining and enhancing our facilities to ensure our children are prepared to achieve and lead in the future.
