Active Shooter Symposium Planned In Wayne

The symposium will cover recent attacks, ideologies and methodologies of active shooters, vulnerability assessment tools and more.

WAYNE, PA — The Radnor Township Police Department is hosting an active shooter symposium next week.

The symposium will be held at 6:45 p.m. Nov. 13 in the Radnorshire Room at the Radnor Township Administration Building in Wayne.

Attendees will learn about active shooter situations at religious institutions, schools, and community meeting places.

Radnor Police hope to raise awareness, promote open discussion, and share possible solutions regarding security.

Members of the Radnor Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, FBI, and Delaware County District Attorney's Office will present the following discussion topics:

  • Ideology and Methodology of the Active Shooter

  • Vulnerability Assessment tools and emergency planning
  • Radnor Police Community Service Unit and how they can help
  • Tour of Police facility
  • Static display on Tactical Equipment
  • Free gun locks will be distributed to prevent gun violence
