Award Offered for Information on Radnor Burglary Suspect

Police say the suspect confronted the victim in her home last week, then ran toward a SEPTA station.

The Radnor Police Department has offered a $2,500 award for information leading to the arrest of a man suspected of breaking into a Radnor home last week and escaping on board SEPTA’s Norristown High Speed Line.

According to police, the man was in the process of taking valuables from the home on Hawthorne Road at 11 a.m. on April 17 when the 79-year-old owner walked in the front door.

The suspect, wearing dark clothing and a baseball cap, ordered the homeowner to get inside, but she ran to a neighbor’s home and dialed 911. Witnesses told police that the man, either Caucasian or Hispanic, ran off with a blue suitcase in the direction of the SEPTA Garrett Hill Station. Footage released by Radnor police show the suspect on board the train.
