Name: Dave Falcone 

Running For:  School Board

Party Affiliation:  Republican

Positions Held Previously:  Board Member, Center for Autism; St. John Neumann Parish Council 

Why are you running for office?:  As a born and raised Radnor resident, I feel compelled to ensure that our prized public school system reestablishes itself as a benchmark in the Commonwealth.  As a father of a young family who chose Radnor as the place that we wanted to establish our roots, I also feel compelled to represent the interests of each and every young family in our community whose voice, at present, remains unrepresented on the Board.  Lastly, as a practicing real estate attorney, I believe that the Board, as it presently exists, lacks expertise in real property field.  As we all know, as residents of Radnor Township, a significant portion of our tax dollars are designated to the School Board.  It must be a critical focus of the Board to understand the impact our tax rate has on the preservation of our property values.  So long as Radnor Township continues to deliver a prized education to its residents we will all continue to reap the benefits of strong property values. 

What do you think are the biggest issues you would face in office?:  I believe the biggest issues facing the incoming School Board will revolve around establishing and maintaining a fiscally responsible and transparent budget.  If the Board is successful in establishing such a budget, while at the same time providing the residents of the Township a transparent view of the process, the end result will be a more informed and better-served electorate.   

If elected, what would you aim to accomplish?: I would aim to be a reasonable and responsible voice for all residents of the Township with a concerted focus on young families who, like me, will be directly impacted by the School District’s performance for the foreseeable future.  I would also aim to be a champion of fiscal responsibility and transparency to ensure that our tax dollars are working as hard as each resident of this Township.
