Why are you running for office:  To complete the work that I started 4 years ago.  When I took office 4 years ago; the Township was without a manager, without a finance director, soon to be without a police chief, deeply embedded in expensive litigation, not sure it would be able to pay its bills at the end of the year.  Over the last 4 years, we did a lot of things to put us on the right path.  Now, we have unfinished business regarding open space, services, pensions, post employment benefits, contracts, etc.  I hope to continue to do my part to strengthen what we did right and address what we have not.

What do you think are the biggest issues you would face in office:  The biggest issue facing Ward 6 is the potential negative effect of the prospective big plans brewing in Radnor.  Some of these plans (like the ones involving Ardrossan and stormwater) will add significant cost.  These costs may compromise our ability to pay for police, public works, recreation, libraries, etc.  We need to ensure that we see benefit in Ward 6 from these prospective plans.  Other plans (like Biomed and the Willows Mansion restoration) will generate revenue but may cause new or increase existing problems.  Again, we must decide if these new ideas are worth what we give up to get them.

If elected, what would you aim to accomplish:  To use stormwater funding to complete the rehabilitation of the West Wayne Preserve into the passive green space that the Township identified in the plan it developed with the Delaware River Keeper.  To protect the Willows Park from the threat posed by converting the mansion into an overactive catering facility.
