Chick-fil-A Opened Thursday In Wayne Square Shopping Center

The franchise is in the Wayne section of Radnor Township. It is the 87th location of the franchise in the Philadelphia region.

RADNOR, PA –Chick-fil-A has opened Thursday, March 9, in the Wayne Square Shopping Center at 319 E. Lancaster Ave.

Franchise owner Josh Grimm said the franchise is bringing 60 full-time and part-time jobs to the Main Line. The restaurant will be open from 6:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Grimm and his wife, Laura, and daughter, Elodie, are thrilled to be a part of the Main Line community.

Outside of the restaurant, Grimm and his family are very involved in their church and enjoy traveling together.

“My family and I are honored to bring Chick-fil-A to Wayne and the Main Line,” Grimm said in a prepared statement. “We hope to be a place of rest and care for the community by providing quality food and excellent service.”

In honor of the new restaurant opening, Chick-fil-A is donating $25,000 to Feeding America. The funds will be distributed to partners within the greater Philadelphia area to aid in the fight against hunger.

The restaurant also plans to surprise 100 local heroes for making an impact in Wayne with free Chick-fil-A for a year.

Chick-fil-A owners and operators reside in the communities in which they serve. There are 86 other Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Philadelphia region.

In Wayne, Grimm will run the business, including employing about 60 people, serving guests, and cultivating relationships with local organizations and businesses.

Grimm began his career with Chick-fil-A when he was 15 years old, growing up in Pittsburgh. He earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering at the University of Pittsburgh.

He worked for PennDOT as a civil engineer for several years before pursuing a career with Chick-fil-A.

Grimm most recently was the local owner/operator of the Chick-fil-A in the King of Prussia Plaza, Upper Merion Township, and the Montgomery Mall, North Wales.

The Wayne restaurant will participate in Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, an initiative that redirects surplus food from the restaurant to local soup kitchens, shelters, food banks, and nonprofits in need.

To date, more than 17 million meals have been served nationwide from Chick-fil-A Shared Table donations.
