Dogs In Radnor Parks Discussion Set For April 13
The township's Park and Recreation Board invites the public to a meeting about dogs in Willows Park and Skunk Hollow Trails.
RADNOR, PA —Radnor Township’s Park and Recreation Board invites the public to a special meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 13, to discuss and hear the community's input about general and safety related experiences regarding dogs in the Willows Park and Skunk Hollow Trails.
The meeting is at the Radnorshire Room of the township municipal building, 301 Iven Ave.,Wayne.
Willows Park is a 47.5 acre estate purchased by the township in 1973. The site was named Willows because of its beautiful Willow trees.

Skunk Hollow Trails is in the southern section of the township. It can be accessed through Willows trails, Saw Mill, Darby-Paoli and Paper Mill roads. It offers historic ruins, steep slopes and views of Darby Creek.
In February, the township issued a rabies alert in response to a fox that tested positive for rabies in Willows Park.

The township requests that all domestic animals should be vaccinated against rabies.
Contact with feral cats, stray dogs and all wildlife particularly raccoons, bats, foxes, skunks and coyotes should be avoided.
Last summer, Amanda Bernard of Devon was taking her dogs for a walk in Willows Park when a raccoon bit her Jack Russell terrier.
Bernard, her Jack Russell and her golden retriever survived the attack, recovering under rabies protocol. The raccoon was not located.
The township encourages the public to attend the meeting.
