Elves For The Shelves 5K To Raise Money For Radnor Library Saturday

WAYNE, PA — The Radnor Memorial Library is inviting community members to its Elves for the Shelves 5K and Fun Run this weekend.

The event will be held at 8 a.m. Saturday at the library.

Registration is $30 for the 5K and $20 for the fun run. Sign up online here.

Racers start and finish this 5K in front of Radnor Memorial Library.

The race is professionally timed by Bryn Mawr Race Company.

Prizes will be awarded to the first, second, and third place winners in each age group in the 5K. Age groups are 6 & under, 7-9, 10-12, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 and older.

The 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk is for all ages and is stroller and wheelchair accessible. Walkers are asked to participate in this portion of the event.

Virtual participation is also available.

Santa will be in attendance and prizes will be awarded for creative costuming.

Funds raised through the event support the library's mission to provide programs, collections, space, and other resources that enhance the quality of life for the entire community.

Participants can also set individual fundraising goals. Those who raise or donate $100+, $300+, or $500+ will receive incentive prizes and be listed on a "Thank You" banner at the event.

Packet pick up is from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday in the library's Windsor Room. Packets can also be picked up from 7 a.m. to 7:30 a.m. on Saturday.
